Has the American media, especially the news, local and national taken second to the media across the Atlantic?

Otradom :

Especailly over the last couple of years with all of the important news, vital to how we as enlightened American citizens, not only view ourselves juxtaposed the rest of the world and also make decions to help guide and direct it; are we any longer getting the best of the media, and again, local and national news service. Do we wait until it’s way too apparent to start making the adjustments; waking up one morning are realizing that we’re running a tight race not only in the information service sector but also, although not yet, materailly as well. All one has to do is take a trip abroad and see that being content as a nation can cuase us to slip in the eyes of those abroad. Is our media taking second place even to news services from the Middle East like Al Jazeera or Gulf News (Persian Gulf…)

I think this explains it best……..

The illegal war of aggression Bush
launched against Iraq has killed
hundreds of thousands of Iraqis,
and killed or wounded tens of
thousands of US soldiers.
(For Iraqi deaths see Johns Hopkins study published in
the British medical journal The Lancet 10.6.2006.)
He set up a worldwide network of
secret prisons, where torture has
become the norm.
He gave himself the power to
wiretap, open the mail of, search,
and indefinitely detain any American.
