“Is your child breathing poisonous fumes in there classroom?” “You’ll be shocked how many local schools failed our test.” “Tune in Friday at eleven for our special report.”

I live in Thailand and fox News is the only U.S news channel I get. I also meet a lot of foreigners who think Nancy Grace is a real American news reporter.

They are commercial driven, which means sensationalism sells. Yes to your question.

Purple Rain

yes, those who don’t are naive, gullible, and probably just plain ignorant

It is a shame Fox News is the only American station you get. Everyone (expect die hard Republicans) recognize that Fox News is a joke, and nothing close to a legitimate news channel. Many papers (NY Times, Washington Post, Boston GLobe, etc.) are credible. Many of the major stations, ABC and CBS are also pretty credible.

American media is paid for completely by advertisers so selling ads often becomes the most important thing. The media has gone downhill but please do not judge us solely on Fox News.

Yes, I agree with that statement.

Years ago, I always watched CNN News, when Solidad O’brien and Bill Hemner were co-anchors. They always reported the facts as accurately as possible.

About 3 1/2 or 4 years ago, I had to stop watching it because CNN had become more like an irritating variety show with crappy entertainers. The reporters and hosts report the news filled with their personal opinions and quite often inaccurately and biased.
